2 Players
The trivia card game is ideal for a couples' date night accompanied by wine.
Take turns reading the cards and challenging each other with random category selections.
Award a point for every correct answer provided by the player.
The game concludes either when one player reaches 10 points or when all cards have been read.
Enjoy the fun and competition as you test your vino knowledge and sip on wine together!
3+ Players
- The youngest player starts by reading out a question card.
- Players can choose from any of the 4 categories on the card.
- Each player has less than 1 minute to answer the question. They are encouraged to discuss and share additional knowledge about the question as this is an educational game aimed at improving wine knowledge for all players.
- As players answer questions correctly, they display their cards openly in front of them, not stacked, so other players can see their progress.
- To win the game, a player must correctly answer 7 questions. Alternatively, for a faster game, the goal can be set at 5 correct answers.
- If the cards run out before a player wins, reshuffle the deck and continue playing.
Team Up
Gather into teams to compete in a wine trivia showdown.
Teams take it in turns to read the question card. You may choose to read from 1 category at a time or mix up the categories; as long as each team has a chance at the same category.
Teams have under a minute to confer on the answer before shouting it out.
If the team is right, claim the trivia card as a point.
The game concludes when a team reaches 10 points or continue until all cards have been read.
Dice Game
Take turns rolling a dice to determine which category card to read aloud.

Cheers More Often
Cheers your friends more often. After every point has been awarded, have a drink.
The Big Vote
Instead of the Wine Sommelier having the final say, have every player vote for the best answer. The player who receives the most votes is awarded the point.
Changing Cards
If you’re unhappy with the cards in your hand, you may discard all 7 cards and pick up a new hand only when you are the Wine Master.
Test the Sommelier
Bring the game to a winery and have the Sommelier choose the closest correct description. This way, all players get to contribute a red tasting note card.
Education at a Winery
Choose a red tasting note card that you would like to explore. Hand it to the Sommelier at the winery and ask them to pour a tasting of a wine with that particular profile. This is a great way to understand wine descriptions faster.
More Cards
Deal the whole deck of red cards to each player. This will give you more cards to choose from to give a more accurate tasting note.
