How to Play
- The youngest player starts by reading out a question card.
- Players can choose from any of the 4 categories.
- Each player has less than 1 minute to answer the question. They are encouraged to discuss and share additional knowledge about the question as this is an educational game aimed at improving wine knowledge for all players.
- As players answer questions correctly, they display their cards openly in front of them, not stacked, so other players can see their progress.
- To win the game, a player must correctly answer 7 questions. Alternatively, for a faster game, the goal can be set at 5 correct answers.
- If the cards run out before a player wins, reshuffle the deck and continue playing.

Love playing this game so much, have played it with friends who are really into their wine and they bought it for themselves straight after. Great for a girls night too.
What a great little trivia game to mix things up a bit. Some of these questions are hard, so we were finally able to stump the walking Jeopardy episode we call dad a few times.
This quiz is great fun, really interesting questions and we’re learning a lot about the wine regions, types, processes etc. Highly recommend!!!!!
My girlfriend and I enjoy drinking wine when dining at restaurants, and we've developed a taste for certain varieties and vineyards by trial and error. After recently binge-watching MasterChef, we developed an interest in learning more about how wine pairs with certain foods, and I decided to order the Taste the Grapes Trivia card game to enjoy on a date night, and review.
The quality of the box, cards, and printing is very good and similar to well-known card games at parties. There are 150 total cards, each with a different question. The questions are diverse, and easy to process for beginners like ourselves, or for more seasoned wine drinkers who want to test or flex their knowledge. It's obvious that the creators of this game put a lot of effort into the questions, and overall game design. What I like most about this game, is that it can be used as an educational tool (similar to flash cards) for learning and retaining information about wine and winemaking, or played as a trivia game at a gathering or party. It can be enjoyed by one, or many.
We often gift a bottle of wine to our friends and family on special occasions. A game like Taste the Grapes Trivia is a more thoughtful alternative gift for the wine lovers in our lives, which they can enjoy for years to come.
One thing to note, in the photos of the cards on the listing page, the answers to each question appear on the category side of the card. On the deck of cards we received, the answers appear on the question side.
My wife and I do love our wine.... We have done several regional wine tasting events and have gotten ourselves on too many wine mailing lists....
From time to time, we host parties with a few types of wine, and we thought this would be a great addition as a party game. We were right...
The concept is simple, and you can adjust the game play to pretty much whatever you want. There are four categories (shown in picture) with multiple cards each. Many of the answers offer multiple choice, but a few you need to know a specific fact. The questions themselves varied in terms of difficulty.. Some seemed easy, but perhaps it is because we had been to a region and knew a lot about the wines. Some we were giving "educated guesses", some we were just guessing.
Our group chose to just have 2 teams and rotate subjects as we sat and talked. It was a great part of the evening.
Definitely recommend this game if you, too, have a love for wine and have friends who occasionally join you for the same!
