Taste the Grapes is the card game that will have you thinking you’re an instant wine snob. The fill-in-the-blank card game is a simple way to learn descriptive wine words and what they mean, all while having a drink with friends.

Use the next bottle of wine as a learning experience and have a laugh at the wild descriptions given to some wines! Yes, Cat Pee is a legitimate description. So what are you waiting for?

Here’s your chance to fool some strangers into thinking you’re an expert.

How to Play:

Before you begin you will need at least 1 bottle of wine. Pour everyone a drink and cover the label or place it out of sight from all players.

Nominate the first Wine Master to read a purple card out loud to all players. Players must then answer by filling in the blank with a red card or be the first to shout out the answer to the question card. The Wine Master then awards a point to the most accurate or funniest answer. Rotate Wine Masters clockwise after each point is awarded.

See who’s paying attention when the question cards are drawn!

Perfect for Wine Nights and a Little Friendly Competition

This wine tasting card game was an instant hit with our family and friends. Living so close to wine country, we’re no strangers to good vino, so a game centered around tasting and comparing wines was right up our alley. The game is easy to pick up and made for a fun, lighthearted addition to our last wine night. It’s not overly complicated, but it gets everyone involved, whether they’re seasoned wine lovers or just there for a good time. The cards keep things interesting with different tasting notes and challenges, adding a little friendly competition to our usual wine discussions. Perfect for casual gatherings or bringing along to one of our winery visits!

Easy Game for Wine Lovers

This is a compact, easy game for wine lovers. It's played similar to Apples to Apples. It does require at least one bottle of wine for the players to share as they progress through the game describing the wine they are drinking. Definitely an adult-only game! Great for building or extending your wine vocabulary.

Easy way to learn legit wine tasting concepts

I have to admit that I had zero expectations for this card game. Why should I? There are a million copycat 'drinking card games' with banal 'challenges' like 'Take off your pants and text your ex-girlfriend's dad or take a shot'. The sample cards shown on the product page looked intelligently written and accurate so I decided to give it a shot.

Turns out that this is a fun and actually educational game that might seriously set someone on the road to oenophilia. Even if you don't want to play the game just reading through the cards can teach you some important wine concepts. More significantly, it can introduce you to the vocabulary of wine tasting which is admittedly a bit oblique at times. The cards are durable, well made and a decent size--roughly the same as actual playing cards. The company that sells this card game also has a wine trivia card game and I'm looking forward to trying this out next. Great intro to wine appreciation in an easy to assimilate form. Highly recommended!

Perfect gift!

We bought it for my Brother in Law who loves a good wine. It's great quality and we had a lot of fun playing with the family at our last get together. We had lots of laughs and of course enjoyed some wine. A great gift idea, would definitely recommend it!

Great addition to the Christmas Hamper

This game was a great addition to my christmas gift hampers this year. I paired it with a nice bottle of red wine and everyone loved the original card game idea!

Beats getting yet another bottle opener!
