Granite Belt, Queensland

The Granite Belt is a wine region located in Queensland, Australia, about 200 kilometers (124 miles) southwest of Brisbane. It is known for producing a range of wine styles, including Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay. The region has a subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild, dry winters, which is well-suited for grape growing. The soils in the region are predominantly red-brown earths and clay loams, which are well-draining and contribute to the quality of the wines produced.
